Several alternative education options, including private schools, a multi-age, parental-involvement program through the public school, and a very active home-schooling group give children and families a wide variety of options for their educational needs. One size does not fit all and we are fortunate to have some choices in our community.

Alternative/Home Schooling Options
Maritime Discovery Schools - place-based learning through a maritime framework, and these experiences are connecting students with land and sea.
OCEAN Program - An independent study, contract-based program for students in grade K-12 supported with classroom, experiential and expeditionary experiences, and connections with the community.
OPEPO Program - Multi-age, parental-involvement program through the public school, located at Blue Heron Middle School. 360-379-453.
Peninsula Homeschool Exchange - an inclusive, eclectic group open to all homeschoolers in Port Townsend.
